ESTES FORWARDING WORLDWIDE LLC IS SEEKING INTERNATIONAL SPECIALIST Job Summary: · Coordinates customer freight to final destination insuring complete and accurate rate, routing and movement (inbound/outbound) & documenting into database. · Will be contact on a daily basis with airlines, drayage agents & other carriers regarding rates, space availability, service information and records to expedite & secure the handling of shipments. · Assists & evaluates customers needs with shipping points, services, weights & freight permits, and other information needed. · Initiates, answers & documents tracer inquiries when requested via email and/or fax. · Receives shipment from shippers or agents and verifies against transportation documents. · Notifies consignee of shipment arrival and coordinates shipment information to other offices and/or agents. · Arranges for movement of freight to consignee/agent & updates the system with information. · Processes necessary invoices to appropriate office for payment. · Complete necessary management reports as required. · With proper authorization, may arrange “Same Day” courier departures using published flight schedules. · Perform administrative & other duties assigned. Qualifications: · High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in business logistics or related field preferred · 3-5 years experience in the transportation, logistics, or a related business activity; experience with multi-model transportation operations preferred. · Ability to read and interpret general business procedures and governmental regulations. · Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. · Ability to effectively present information, both orally and in writing, and to respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, including the general public. · Ability to apply mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, calculates discounts, gross & net margins, including overall profitability. · Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. · Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract & concrete variables. · Demonstrated ability to ensure complete customer satisfaction & to create repeat business opportunities. · Must have basic knowledge & understanding of PC applications and Microsoft office. · Knowledge of international geography.
