ESTES EXPRESS LINES IS SEEKING PART TIME DOCKWORKERS Job Summary: · Properly loads and unloads freight using a forklift, pallet jack or by hand · Strapping, bracing and padding freight to prevent damage or shifting · Responsible for accurately recording the condition of freight as it arrives at the terminal · Performs pre-shift inspection of dock equipment · Regular attendance is required · All other duties and responsibilities as assigned Qualifications: · 18+ years of age · Experience in the transportation industry a plus although not required · Ability to operate a forklift ( 3,000 lb. vehicle) or previous forklift certification · Must be able to push or pull loaded pallet jack with a minimum load of 70 lbs. · Night/weekend shifts may be required · Physical activities include: standing, walking, lifting twisting, turning, etc. · Stable work record · Must be capable of lifting a minimum of 70 lbs. · High School Diploma or General Educational Degree (GED), or equivalent combination of education and experience · Responds well to questions.
