ESTES EXPRESS LINES IS SEEKING A TERMINAL MANAGER Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the day-to-day direction and management of an LTL operation. These include the support of customer relationships, overseeing profit and cost controls, and ensuring safety, service, and quality measures. A minimum of five years management experience in the LTL industry required. Must be able to thrive in a fast paced environment. Must possess exceptional leadership and communication skills. Job Summary: · Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the day-to-day direction and management of an LTL operation. · Supporting the customer relationships, overseeing profit and cost controls, and ensuring safety, service, and quality measures. · Total responsibility for the terminal and all activities including but not limited to: · Responsible for all hiring, employee counseling and training, and terminations; assuring they are processed according to proper guidelines. · Responsible for making sure payroll is correct and on time. · Make sure all schedules are made on outbound and city schedules to get the freight delivered on time. · Management of all dock operations and city operations. · Keep labor costs, cost per bill, claims, and exceptions to Company standards. · Maintain an effective working relationship with other departments such as safety, sales, claims, loss prevention, customer care, and fleet services. · Directs investigations into causes of customer complaints and responds accordingly. · Acts as Company's representative before government agencies or legal representatives. · Keep up to date on any changes or new procedures within the Company. · Enforce compliance with administrative policies, procedures, safety rules, and government regulations. · Conduct meetings with all employees to keep them up to date with pertinent changes within Estes and the trucking industry. · Keep good relations with other terminals. · Promote good relations with employees. · Some traveling required. · Other duties as assigned Requirements: · A minimum of five years personnel management (preferably in the LTL trucking industry) · Proven leadership experience · Strong team building talents · Basic computer skills · Must be able to thrive in a fast paced environment. · Must possess exceptional leadership and communication skills. · Excellent communication and problem solving skills · Strong work ethic · Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check · Must be mentally and emotionally capable of handling a high stress environment · High School diploma or equivalent (College degree preferred although not required) Comprehensive Benefits - Accidental Death & Dismemberment Insurance Dependent Life Insurance Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account Paid Holidays Paid Time Off Policies Job Referral Bonus Program (Eligible Employees Only) Safety Awards Program (Specific Employees Only) Safe Driving Bonus Program (Drivers Only) Service Awards Workers’ Compensation Jury Duty Leave Estes reserves the right to change, adjust, amend or terminate its benefits at any time At Estes Express Lines- We understand that the dedication and quality of our employees are what sets us apart from other transportation providers.
