ESTES EXPRESS LINES IS SEEKING UTILITY DRIVERS Will operate tractor/trailer in the transportation of freight, traveling terminal to terminal or delivering to customers in accordance with Company, Federal, State and Local laws with regard to run times and DOT regulations. Position will entail significant dock work (paid hourly) and will assist where needed in Line Haul runs (typically out five days and home two - paid mileage), Local Pick Up and Delivery routes (home daily, paid hourly) and Hub/Regional runs (paid mileage). Must be aware of pre-trip inspections to ensure safe working conditions of the tractor and trailer prior to each trip, checks gauges and visual indicators for malfunctions, ensure seal on trailers and conduct inspection of vehicle before and during trips to determine problems that may be occurring. Reports all maintenance problems to Fleet Services. Must be familiar with state motor vehicle laws and Department of Transportation rules and regulations. Position Requires: · 21 years of age required per DOT regulations (2 years driving experience preferred) · Class A Commercial Driver's License · HazMat and Doubles endorsements · May be required to drive for 11 hours per day · Ability to lift a minimum of 70 lbs · Ability to operate a forklift · Ability to push or pull a pallet jack with a minimum load of 70 lbs · Loading and unloading trailers · Stable employment history · Provide exceptional customer service · Must pass DOT pre-employment drug screen, background check, and physical · Physical activities include: standing, lifting, twisting, turning, climbing a ladder, etc. · Must be able to provide an acceptable MVR Comprehensive Benefits - Accidental Death & Dismemberment Insurance Dependent Life Insurance Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account Paid Holidays Paid Time Off Policies Job Referral Bonus Program (Eligible Employees Only) Safety Awards Program (Specific Employees Only) Safe Driving Bonus Program (Drivers Only) Service Awards Workers’ Compensation Jury Duty Leave Estes reserves the right to change, adjust, amend or terminate its benefits at any time.
