IS CURRENTLY SEEKING
DOCK EQUIPMENT MECHANICS
Job Summary:
- Will perform repairs on C-Beams, Cargo Heaters, Pallet Jacks, Hand Trucks and other various dock equipment.
- Will troubleshoot and correct equipment problems.
- Will repair, replace and fabricate defective parts, components or systems if necessary.
- Will perform inspections and test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work done meets manufacturer’s specifications & legislated regulations.
- Will make decisions regarding repair costs.
- Will perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements:
- Must be experienced in hydraulics’.
- Must possess welding and fabrication knowledge / experience.
- Must meet lifting requirement of a minimum of 70lbs comfortably.
- Must work well and complete tasks within time constraints.
- Must possess mechanical knowledge of various types of Dock Equipment.
- Must be knowledgeable of all manufacturer’s and DOT criteria for various types of Dock Equipment.
- Must possess strength and stamina required for working with heavy equipment.
- Must possess the ability for working in cramped or awkward positions.
- Must possess a cost consciousness aptitude for repairs.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States.
