Northeast Utilities (NU), a Fortune 500 diversified energy company currently has an opportunity available within our Connecticut Light & Power (CL&P) subsidiary.

 

The successful candidate will plan, coordinate, and provide functional supervision, and have accountability for the Aerial Device Overhaul Program for CL&P.  Duties will involve: coordinating and ensuring the implementation of the overhaul program according to budget and time constraints, and NU’s maintenance and repair policies and procedures;  planning, coordinating, scheduling, and supervising activities involving acquisition of parts and materials for the rebuild program;  scheduling and verifying repairs made on equipment; checking invoices for accuracy and completeness; and  actively promoting a safety-first work environment and positive safety culture.  Will have storm restoration and emergency assignments when necessary

 

Bachelors Degree or equivalent and at least 5 years of experience required.  Supervisory experience required.  Experience in and/or the ability to develop a production schedule required, which requires strong accounting and time management skills, along with the ability to develop accurate and measurable time estimates.  Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel required.  Familiarity with Lotus Notes preferred.  A working knowledge of aerial device hydraulics is preferred.  Individual must be able to obtain/maintain a valid CDL.  Individual may be required to work second shift.
