TRAILER MECHANICS
Job Summary:
- Responsible for repairs and required preventive maintenance of trailers
- Inspecting, trouble shooting, diagnosing and performing maintenance on equipment
- Performs safety inspections of equipment and prepare safety documents required by DOT, company and any other Federal, State or Local regulations
- Interprets work orders and technical manuals
- Repairs or replaces defective parts, components or systems
- Tests repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that the work meets manufacturer’s specifications and legislated regulations
- Regular attendance is required

Qualifications:
- 18+ years of age
- Able to use hand tools and test equipment
- A minimum of one-year experience and/or completion of trade school
- Must have own tools
- Knowledge of general repairs and PM criteria
- Physical activities include: lifting, twisting, turning, climbing a ladder, etc.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
- Must possess have an acceptable MVR
- Must be an effective communicator
- Self-starting, organized and possess strong verbal and written skills
- Available to work all shifts, including nights and weekends
- Must pass DOT pre-employment drug screen and background check
- Must possess the strength and stamina required to work with heavy equipment and work in awkward positions
- Must possess the ability to work alone or as a team
- The ability to keep up with changing technology and updates
- Mechanical ability and interest of engines, electronics and precision equipment
- The employee must be capable of lifting a minimum of 70 lbs
- High School Diploma or General Educational Degree (GED), or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must be able to and comply with all company policies, rules, procedures and the Code of Conduct.
- Responds well to questions. Ability to read and interpret written information and documents such as safety rules, operations and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
