Education Level: None Selected Career Level : Description: Driver Helpers - Laborers are responsible for assisting in the collection and hand loading of residential waste, as well as the transporting of this waste to a landfill site. They constantly lift, push, and pull waste bags and receptacles that weigh from 50 to 75 pounds as part of their daily routine. Often, these waste receptacles have no wheels or handles for maneuverability, and the laborer must have the physical strength to adjust accordingly. This physically strenuous position involves mounting and dismounting the truck step between 800 and 1000 times every shift. Laborers communicate on a regular basis with dispatch and their drivers. Our laborers need to be team players and willing to take direction from our Drivers.
