Position Responsibilities: The supervisor will be responsible to manage a group of technicians, manage a budget, meet objectives, approve labor time, conduct work quality inspections, perform Garage operational reviews, obtain accident estimates, understand the OSHA, ANSI regulations in regards to our vehicles, understand DOT and the environmental laws in regards to fleet maintenance. This position in addition to having excellent management skills, must have a background or an understanding of automotive technology.\ Technical Knowledge Requirements: Four years of increasingly responsible automotive experience in an administrative capacity, including two years of supervisory experience in automotive maintenance and repair and/or vehicular fleet operations; or a combination of training, education, and experience that is equivalent to the employment standard listed above and that provides the required knowledge and abilities. Managerial Skills Requirements: Minimum of 2+ year’s previous experience in managing subordinates. Must have an understanding of the DOT regulations. Have a mechanical background that will enable the supervisor to approve labor time charged for repairs and make decisions concerning vehicle maintenance. Good communication and PC skills, includes using word, excel, power point. Desired Skills & Experience: - Minimum of 3 yrs. experience in managing fleet maintenance. - Experience with managing OSHA, ANSI regulations. - Must have experience in managing a budget related to fleet maintenance. - Understanding of Environmental regulations.
