ESTES FORWARDING WORLD WIDE LLC IS SEEKING A STATION MANAGER Job Summary: · Responsible for leading, directing and managing operations and sales to ensure a consistently high level of service, quality and customer satisfaction · Leads, directs and manages site operations to ensure maximum profitability and superior customer service · Manages station and company resources to facilitate quality and efficient operations · Establishes and maintains positive, productive customer relations while managing daily resolution of issues · Establish and continuously improve processes to ensure excellent customer relations · Plans and monitors daily staffing schedules and adjusts accordingly to ensure adequate staffing that supports operational demands and business objectives · Leads, directs and manages all station functions to ensure all departments and staff perform at or above company and customer standard · Works directly with the VP, Operations to ensure station is using the appropriate mix of multimode providers and assists in the implementation and compliance measurements of external service partners · Reviews and evaluates station P&L performance and continually adjust short and long term goals to maintain profitability at or above company expectations · Ensures freight is being expedited in a safe and timely manner and the station provides a safe and professional environment for all staff · Provides Managers and Supervisors with daily guidance and support on any issues relating to operations, communication, human resources and company policies · Ensures all staff adheres to company and station policies and procedures · Conducts regular performance reviews for all staff, promptly addresses any employee performance problems and provides coaching or counseling as appropriate · Complies with Company C-TPAT security procedures · Regular Attendance is required · This is not an all-inclusive list of job requirements and/or duties and may not contain all mental and physical capabilities necessary to perform the job at all times due to circumstances. Employees are expected, and must be able to perform all such duties and tasks Qualifications: · Associate’s degree in a relevant area or equivalent combination of education and work experience in related area required; Bachelor’s degree in a related area preferred · Three to five years experience in the transportation industry required; Five to seven years experience within the transportation industry preferred · Three years supervisory or managerial experience required; Five years supervisory or managerial experience preferred · Ability to identify issues, requirements, and opportunities involved in customer service · Ability to manage all financial aspects of a designated station · Experience managing external service providers (airline, cartage, truckload, linehaul) · In depth knowledge of all products and services · Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills at a management level, including performance feedback, employee development, coaching and counseling skills · Demonstrated team leadership and participative management skills, including facilitation, conflict and problem resolution and consensus building abilities preferred
· Must be capable of lifting a minimum of 25 lbs. · Responds well to questions. Ability to read and interpret written information and documents such as safety rules, operations and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals · Must pass pre-employment drug screen and will be subject to a criminal history background check · Must be eligible to work in the United States Comprehensive Benefits –
