You'll also have the chance to be recognized for your knowledge and skills through our National Tech Challenge, an annual Penske-wide competition. Penske is the first and only truck leasing, rental and logistics provider to earn National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification for its continuing education program for fleet mechanics. Major Responsibilities: -Manage preventative maintenance scheduling, quality, and customer satisfaction -Plan and prepare work schedules, and assign associates to specific duties -Listen to and resolve customer complaints regarding services, products, or personnel -Hire, train, and evaluate personnel Qualifications: -At least 3 years of previous work experience in vehicile facilitymaintenance required, diesel vehicle experience preferred -At least 1 years of supervisory experience required -Associates Degree (business or technical) or Vo-Techdiploma preferred -In-depth knowledge of all vehicle components including: engine, drive train, air-brakes, cooling systems, electrical systems, accessories, suspension, and tires required -Brake/air brake certification, diesel certification, EPA 608/609 certification, and HVAC certification preferred -Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel required -Strong written/oral communication and people management skills required -Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, complete a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening are required -The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
