Position Summary: A Penske Roadside Assistance Specialist provides emergency roadside assistance to customers 24/7, 365 days a year. This entails assessing and diagnosing vehicle failures through careful inquiry and dispatching appropriate service to customers based on the nature of each breakdown. The OTR Coordinator will answer customer inquiries regarding the maintenance and operations of over 200,000 consumer, commercial, and full-service leasing vehicles nationwide in our state-of-the-art call center. These positions will primarily be on the 2nd or 3rd shifts. Availability to work a Saturday or Sunday is required for consideration. Major Responsibilities: -Provide emergency roadside assistance to customers 24 hours a day, 365 days a year -Receive in-bound calls from Penske customersand diagnose mechanical issues -Act as a liaison between the servicing location and the customer -Demonstrate excellentphone and customer service skills to interact with internal and external customers -Resolve or escalate customer service issues -Perform various duties as assigned by the supervisor to support the efficient operation of the call center Qualifications: -2 years of prior customer service experience preferred -2 years prior call center or telemarketing experience preferred -Diesel mechanic or automotive experience preferred -High school diploma or equivalent required -Associates or Bachelors Degree preferred -Excellent written and oral communication skills and interpersonal skills -Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain accurate -Proficiency with computers including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook required -Availability to work either a Saturday or Sunday as part of your regular weekly schedule required -Willingness to work in a call center environment required -Willingness to work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening are required -The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
