Now Hiring Fleet Maintenance Manager Job Description: Requirements: - HS diploma or GED that is approved and recognized by the United States Department of Education - 5+ years of Fleet maintenance management experience for a small to medium size company with multiple locations - Must have a current Class A CDL with a clean DMV record. If no license, must be able to pass all DOT requirements to obtain a commercial license within 6 months of employment, if hired. - Must be able to lead/manage a sizeable fleet (50 trucks) including PMP, painting, etc… - Mechanical experience as related to repairs of diesel trucks and equipments (electrical, air brakes, etc.) - Solid computer skills preferably with computerized maintenance systems to include XATA, EAM. - Strong Analytical skills. - Ability to handle multiple and conflicting priorities is a must - Excellent follow-up skills with the ability to complete assignments/projects through to completion - Must possess analytical, strong organizational, problem solving, communication and customer service skills - Effective verbal communication, writing and grammar skills - Professional and reliable
Responsibilities of the position are:
- Manage preventative maintenance schedules for medium and heavy-duty diesel vehicles and equipment, i.e. forklifts, pallet jacks, trailers - Manage efficient distribution of equipment to operations - Location tracking and cost allocation of vehicles and equipment - Coordinate and prioritize cost effective equipment repair - Analyze, track and manage rental equipment - Oversee DOT requirements and IFTA mileage and insure compliance, record keeping and reporting according to regulatory compliance - Managing and reporting of fleet costs and department budgets - Manage the fleet acquisition and disposal process - Supervise several mechanics AAP, EEO, M/F/H/V/D, Drug Free Workplace Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of a position.
