ESTES EXPRESS LINES IS SEEKING A LINE HAUL COORDINATOR Job Summary: · Reports to Line Haul Supervisor Dispatchers · Coordinates Line Haul Drivers via information in computer system and phone communication with terminals in order to get freight moved in a timely manner within our service standards · Interacts with Line Haul Supervisor, Operations Planner, terminal personnel, VP of Operations, Breakdown Coordinators and Line Haul Drivers · Supervises Line Haul drivers · Coordinates terminal Line Haul activities · Plans dispatches to accommodate cost and service goals · Involves 3-6 months of on-the-job training · Regular attendance is required · This is not an all-inclusive list of job requirements and/or duties and may not contain all mental and physical capabilities necessary to perform the job at all times due to circumstances. Operational, safety and other needs may require the employee to perform any and all other duties as assigned. Employees are expected, and must be able to perform all such duties and tasks Qualifications: · Must possess positive interpersonal skills and be customer oriented · Must have 10 key, typing, and computer skills; proficient in MS Word & Excel · Knowledge of AS400 preferred · Knowledge of LTL industry preferred · Must be able to interact well with others · Ability to work independently or in a team setting in a fast paced environment · Must be mentally & emotionally capable of handling a high stress work environment · Proven customer service skills to include excellent verbal and written communication and listening skills · Must have good analytical skills · Must be able to multi-task · Must be able to be present at work as schedule requires · Must be able to remain alert during entire shift and must be able to work at a minimum full-time · Must be capable of lifting a minimum of 25 lbs · Must be able to and comply with all company policies, rules, procedures and Code of Conduct · High School Diploma or General Educational Degree (GED), or equivalent combination of education and experience · Responds well to questions.
