DISTRICT MANAGER FLEET SERVICES

 

Job Summary:

  • Manages and oversees shop operations and multiple locations
  • Conducts Fleet evaluations to ensure maintenance standards are met
  • Assists in creating a positive team oriented environment through employee development, motivation, coaching and counseling
  • Prepares safety documentation required by DOT, company and any other Federal, State or local authorities
  • Ensures safe and reliable vehicles are available to meet operational requirements
  • Ensures cleanliness and maintenance of the Fleet Services shops through regular inspections and preventative maintenance programs
  • Ensures shops are adequately staffed and personnel are properly trained
  • Responsible for controlling costs and expenses, manage Fleet budgets and account for P&L data
  • Regular attendance is required

Qualifications:

  • 10 years management experience in the fleet maintenance industry and personnel management preferred
  • Must have valid drivers license with an acceptable MVR
  • Knowledge of DOT rules and regulations
  • Must be familiar with ATA parts system codes
  • Must posses mechanical ability and interest in all types of machinery, to include tractors, forklifts, Moffetts and engines with the ability to trouble shoot and make decisions to correct problems
  • Must be familiar with tractor (International part number scheme), trailer, forklift and Moffett parts and have the ability to trouble shoot and make decisions to correct problems
  • Must be willing to work any shift, including nights and weekends; flexible work schedule
  • Must have experience with IHC trucks, Cummins engines, trailers, Hyster and Moffett forklifts
  • Must possess basic math, typing computer skills to include proficiency in Microsoft Word & Excel
  • Must have the ability to work independently or as a part of a team, be organized and able to work in a high stress fast paced environment
  • Must possess strong team building talents with exceptional leadership, time management and communication skills
  • Travel required
  • Must be able to and comply with all company policies, rules, procedures and Code of Conduct
  • Must be able to interact well with others
  • Must be mentally and emotionally capable of handling a high stress environment
  • Must be capable of lifting a minimum of 70 lbs
  • High School Diploma or General Educational Degree (GED), or equivalent combination of education and experience; Technical school preferred
  • Responds well to questions. Ability to read, interpret written information and documents such as safety rules, operations/procedure manuals  and maintenance instructions with a high comprehension and concentration level to include the ability to meet deadlines
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and will be subject to a criminal history background check
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States
