One of the many different types of truck driving jobs is the “Delivery Driver”. This type of driver typically drives a medium or light truck or van with a capacity of under 26,000 GVW or non-CDL. This type of driver has two responsibilities the first is being a safe and capable truck driver and secondly to deliver or pick up merchandise or packages within a specified area. This type of driver job may require the loading and unloading of the truck and as a result this position normally puts more demands on physical ability with requirements to handle and lifting items without assistance.
